Glad Today is a New Day

I am so glad yesterday is over. Ever had those days that you just want to crawl up in a ball and sleep the entire day through? I kinda did that yesterday. Logan spent the day at his dads and I was going through some stuff. I came home after running only half my errands and just closed all the curtains, lowered the volume to my phone (can't shut off cause I am a mommy), turned off the tv and lights, grabbed a blanket and sat in silence by myself. Went to bed early with Logan and woke up grateful to the sun that is coming in through the windows.

However though I am doing better than yesterday, I am in EEEK mode to have to do complicated photoshop edits to a family session. :S It's that elephant in my living room I keep avoiding but keeps stepping on me. AHAHAHAHA Wish me luck!

I am excited to be going to PR soon... I need some home loven. Villa Pesquera and a Sunset is all my heart needs.

Ow Ow Ow

This is Jorge a childhood friend from my Isabela Branch in PR. He was in need of a "car sitter" for a few months and I am the trucks new nanny. LOL He is super shy but I forced him to take a few pics and have shamelessly posted them in blogs and fb and have embarrassed him greatly. But I think he needs the boost... so here is another blog post. hee hee

New Nephew

This is Matt (Adams brother) and Liz's new baby Evan. Isn't he adorable! I wanted to eat him up! I had the honor of taking their pics this Saturday and seeing the Allen family again. It was comforting. :D

Thanksgiving

My family and I met up at my aunt Arleens house for LOTS of Puerto Rican/American yummy food. Where we celebrated Thanksgiving and my aunt Debbie's 50th Birthday. We laughed and ate til our belly's ached. :D

The kids were running outside like savages and I was not about to get cold. SO, here are just the adults.

I have been promising pics of my ADORABLE town home and I thought I would post some even though I am so not done decorating. I have reused all my old furniture and made it look different in this place. By painting, staining, using in a different way and spot... and I am loving it. I don't think I am ever going to leave! My landlady is gonna have to kick me out. I love the quiet street we live on, the quiet neighbors, the ward, easy access to grocery store, restaurants, (about 30 secs away) and just minutes from the freeway. We are both so happy here. I will post more pictures as I decorate.

In case you can't read on the pic above it's my bedroom. I painted the bird and there is a note for my landlady so she doesn't get scared that I painted a bird on her wall (totally washable). On the left side I have my oil painting I am working on, and the old window frame I put hooks on and now hang my fav jewelry.  That tall green door I have owned for about 3 years and never knew what to do. I'll be getting rods from the store "rod works" which are just a few dollars each and I will be hanging all my bags and scarfs and such

My living room, as you can see one side is bare. I have a neat idea  I hope to be to do it soon. I don't want to put a bunch of holes in these walls so I have to be creative
my kitchen, small pcs of the bathrooms, and my lovely charming backyard. It's too cold today for me to do cute pics of the yard so a peak from the door is all you get. 

I have SO MUCH storage! I have two closets in both bedrooms. I will take a pic tomorrow of that. A built in charming book shelf outside my room. A linen closet across from bookshelf. A coat closet on the bottom floor, a pantry in kitchen, then another closet in kitchen, and outside that big burgandy thing is a storage shed. My car is beyond that back door. 

HOW LUCKY AM I? I am in HEAVEN.

I know I am old to make a wish, I've definitely been on your naughty list

there's shoes and purses that catch my eye, in stores like Nordstrom Charlotte Russe

you can't go wrong Santa cause anything you get I will use 

don't forget my favorite colors are blue, blue greens and browns

so please pretty please don't forget about me!

Handsome Boy

This is my handsome big boy. I bribed him to let me take a handful of pics before church today, and HE LET ME! WOW! He even posed ... I wanted to bite him but apparently I am an uncool mom when I do things like that. So, I remained calm and did my best to hide my huge smile of victory. I love you with all my heart Logan. 

Lo and a Free service announcement or two

Lo- I am trying to teach Logan Spanish words since he is picking up so much at school with his regular stuff. Today he asked for a red "arbeto" (sorbeto, straw) for his milk shake. LOL 

Free Service Announcement #1 - The Lord knows each and every one of us. He knows what is in our hearts and knows all of our secrets (good and bad). He is always by our side. When we feel the most alone and want to fall into despair his gentle hand is the one holding us up and carrying us through the day- quietly. I know this for a FACT. 

Free Service Announcement #2 - I am super sensitive so this one I know I am constantly reminding myself. But when someone is mean to you, abrasive, insensitive and just plain out mean - it probably has very little to do with you and more with personal struggles that person is going through. It is in fact a external reflection of a sad internal image. I know this because I have been on both ends. Let us not be hurt by someone's actions during a happy time in our lives, our happiness perhaps reminds them of some great pain.

Logan's First Day at Pre-school

Sorry Adam this is the best I for out of Logan today.  When I drove up he realized the pre-school is in a house. The entire basement was converted into a pre-school and it's SO NICELY DONE. I LOVE IT! Anyhow he freaked out because it wasn't a big school his cousins. The teacher won him over within 5 mins she is GREAT!! Soon, I left without him being upset and I had lunch with Chrys Allen (had a blast catching up Chrys) and then came back to find out he did great (he wanted to play sometimes but was good). YAY!!! I was more worried that he was going to be as naughty as he is with me!

A friend of mine shared this quote with me he found on-line. My aunt Arleen had said something similar to me years ago. Wow, what an eye opener and really its true. I just found these pics looking for pictures of my brothers son. Just last year ... my baby has grown so much!
